Welcome to my search for my ancestors. The names on these pages lived in and 
around the area of Chatham, Durham, Orange and Wake Counties North Carolina.
Their lives were, for the most part, centered around farming. Arriving in the
area in the middle 1700s, growing crops and raising large families. Religious
beliefs played a large role in their lives and many will be found among the
rolls of Baptist church members.
They were not military oriented, but did serve in many of the wars of our country. 
You will not find any notes on these pages, but should you like more
information, or like to know sources, please contact me. Gladly share what I
have and I do enjoy hearing from others who are researching in the same area. I
have done a second website on the Barbee, Couch and Trice families, with more
